SSPCN is working to improve access to care for our patients through:

  1. Weekend Child Health Clinics
We’re launching Saturday clinics to improve access to paediatric care, including check-ups, vaccinations, and urgent consultations—especially helpful for working families.
  2. Faster and Smarter Appointments
We aim to respond to all online consultations (eConsults) by the next working day and answer 90% of calls within 10 minutes, using modern telephony and digital tools.
  3. Better Support for Diabetes and Long-Term Conditions
We’re increasing diabetes education and introducing continuity of care plans for patients with complex needs to improve long-term health outcomes.
  4. Digital Access and NHS App Support
We’re helping more patients use the NHS App for booking appointments, accessing records, and managing prescriptions—making care more convenient and accessible.
  5. Pharmacy First – Help for Minor Ailments We’re encouraging patients to use local pharmacies for minor conditions like sore throats, earaches, and skin rashes—freeing up GP appointments and offering faster care.
  6. Community Engagement and Health Equity
We’re hosting weekend engagement events and offering multilingual support to ensure all patients can access and shape their care.
